HOMEMADE VANILLA EXTRACT

Instructions

  1. Cut vanilla beans in half length wise leaving about 1/2 inch attached at the stem.

  2. Put 5-8 vanilla beans in each bottle (the more beans, the more flavor)

  3. Fill bottle with vodka leaving about half an inch empty at the top.

  4. Store for 1-2 months before using, shaking up once a week.

*If using smaller or bigger bottles, the rule of thumb is 5-8 beans/8 ounces of vodka.
